Family portraiture is not for everyone, which isn't to say pictures aren't for everyone. Portraiture is an art, it's knowing what lighting is best, how to capture the best pictures, how to edit your picture to show off it's spectacular subjects. Portraiture is NOT a Walmart picture package. I say this not to be mean or rude but to point out the differences. At Walmart you walk in, take a couple quick shots, maybe change the background, look on a tiny screen for about 2 minutes pick the poses you want and then pay for a package of prints. Which is perfectly fine, I've done it myself, it's quick and easy and for the most part doesn't hurt the wallet. But let's face it, you get what you pay for. Have any of those pictures literally taken your breath away? Have you ever looked back on those pictures and remembered everything about those moments? I haven't. I've been taking pictures my whole life! I cherish pictures and the memories attached to them and I will work to make sure I capture those moments for you! That's what Family Portraiture is about, capturing moments! Your investment isn't just for a couple of pictures, it's for choosing a photographer who invests your payment back into herself, her continuing education to improve upon her art and the education she already has. As well as ensuring your pictures are captured and edited using the best possible tools. Mini Sessions are short, quick 30 minute sessions that capture 4-6 poses. Perfect for fun family outings, holiday pictures (Easter, Valentines day etc.), family greeting cards! I run specialty Mini Sessions throughout the year as well, using seasonal props or themed props so check my blog for these!

Family sessions typically run one and a half to two hours in length. This allows for more time to capture what you are looking for. These can be anything from an outing at your favorite park, a picture at your home, or any other local location, weather permitting of course.

Infant sessions are scheduled such that the baby comes first. It is best to schedule these sessions in the first 10 days of life to preserve those cuddly, sleepy baby moments. These sessions are meant to allow time for feeding, changing and calming when necessary. whenever possible Mom & Dad are suggested to be there but if not possible my husband acts as a spotter for me. Baby Safety is #1, making sure your child is properly supported and comfortable during the entire session is my priority. These sessions can be done in your home or mine. I have all the needed items for travel and will come to you (within 20 miles at no extra charge). Please contact me at the beginning of your third trimester in order to make sure we can get you onto my books. My calendar fills up pretty quickly and I will need to be on call for your session once the little one comes. If your having twins or more I can still work with you, contact me for pricing and time requirements.

Celebration of Life ........................$215.00
The first year of your child's life is full of so many exciting changes, from learning to roll over, to sitting up and finally standing! Capture these moments in stages, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months & 1 year! Each session will run 30 minutes to an hour to capture the perfect poses! These will be pictures you will look back on, and show them as they get older! I know because my daughter LOVES looking at her baby pictures - she's 6.

Portfolio Modeling
Portfolio Modeling is when I put out a casting call looking for 1 or more people to pose for me. This can be for testing out new equipment, new locations or creative imagery. This is not something I offer on a regular basis but rather as a tool for helping me to develop into a better photographer. PLEASE do not request to be a Portfolio Model unless I have put out a call for it.
What you get:
- Free session time and reduced price edited photos. The Edited photos will be posted to both my facebook fan page, blog and any other working site for the purpose of advertising.
- A limited print release.
What you do not get:
- CD with any of the photos.
- Unlimited print release.
- Payment.
*CD with the Edited photos only can be purchased separately and will also include an unlimited print release. Price is dependent on how many edits are included.
