Frequently Asked Questions
For years families have turned to portrait studios like Sears' Olan Mills and Walmart's Picture Me, they walk in, pose and pay for a single pose package, but you know the old adage "You get what you pay for."
I have put together, and will continue to add to, questions and answers to help guide you through the experience of getting an amazing set of pictures to last you and you loved ones for years to come. If you have a question that you do not see answered here please do not hesitate to send me an email.
Q: How much do you charge?
A: Your investment depends on what type of package you want. I have several standard packages and often offer specialized sessions, please take a look at my pricing page.
Q: When are you available?
A: My schedule varies, currently I am available on Friday's, Saturday's, Sunday's and Monday's. I have my daughter the other 3 days of the week so do not work on anything photography related during those days (including edits).
Q: Where do you take pictures at?
A: I'm constantly scouting out new and fun locations. I prefer to work in Augusta, North Augusta and Aiken, but will consider other locations. There may be additional travel expenses added to your package if you require me to travel outside of this area.
Also, please note I do not currently have a studio, I am happy to do my work indoors at your home or other location as well as outdoors (weather permitting). For outdoor shoots it is better to work in partly cloudy to sunny days, but I can work with some overcast lighting as well.
Q: Do you have props?
A: I am always looking for, picking up or making new props. If you have something in mind tell me about it and I'll see what I can do.
Q: Do you trade services?
A: From time to time, Yes, I will consider trades.
Q: What should I/we wear to our session?
A: Families in coordinating outfits (matching colors, not necessarily all red sweaters and blue jeans, but color choices mixed to match) look best. For couples matching is cute but not necessary. It all depends on what kind of theme you are looking for.
Q: What should I do to prepare for my session?
A: REALLY think about what you want your finalized shots to look like. If you have ideas express them to me prior to showing up, it's best for us both to be on the same page so that I can get what you want. If you pictures that inspired you feel free to send them to me!
Q: What are infant sessions like?
A: This session is tailored to fit you and your vision of your pictures! Infant sessions normally take 2-3 hours, this allows for feeding the baby, changing and resettling to sleep. Yes the baby may pee during the session, no worries I've been peed on before and it will happen again. Every precaution is taken during the session to endure the babies safety first. I like for mom and dad to be available if possible and if not I will have an assistant. All those great shots you see of babies hanging or posed up on their hands start with lots of other hands in the picture which then get edited out, it's magic! hehe. Really though talk to me about what you want whether it be color choice, fabric, props anything and everything that is what I am here for. I want you to be soooo happy with your pictures because I know how important they are, just ask me and I'll show you my daughters pictures!
