OK Aiken Mom's I'm looking at my August calendar trying to find the best day to hold some mini's. It's the beginning of a new school year and I thought, what better time than now to do some back to school pictures! Get your kids dressed up in those new outfits they've been dying to wear! We'll do several shots, siblings, back to school basics (bookbags and all) and My Favorite things.

What you will get:
10-15 edited pictures on a disc with print release

The month of August will be BOGO! Book and pay for any session over $100 and get another session of your choice 50% off! This is a great opportunity for any expectant moms. Book your maternity session ($185) and get your infant session for only $125! This would also be great for some fun family sessions - do one of everyone now, enjoying summer and do the next one at Christmas time! Sessions do not need to be booked for the month of August they just have to be paid for in the month of August.

All sessions need to be scheduled prior to December 31st. Half price sessions are good until March 1st 2013. This offer is cannot be combined with any other offers past or future.

Q&A

Q: So do I have to pay for both sessions in August?
A: No, you pay your full price session in August, your half price session is still subject to a deposit but the remainder can be paid the day of the session.

Q: So when do I pay the deposit for the second session?
A: When you schedule the date for the second session, this can be any time up until March 1st, 2013.

Q: How can I pay you?
A: I accept cash in person (I live in Aiken) or you can pay via paypal (plus an additional 5% fee for processing).

Q: Can I purchase two of the same packages?
A: Yes, absolutely, as long as they are over $100.

Q: Can I purchase one package for myself and one as a gift?
A: Yes, but please make sure I know so that I can keep track.

A few of my favorite things!

I'm running an introductory price on my new Mini Theme "A few of my favorite things" This one day event is aimed for Children of any age. Preferably one child per picture but if multiples would like to sign up I think they would make some great pictures as well!

Each session should take no longer than 10 minutes. Reservations are required so that I can email you the "Questionnaire" for the favorite things to be added to the portrait after the editing is completed. Turn around time is 2-3 weeks depending on how many people sign up. If you have multiples and will be putting more than 1 child in the picture please reserve 2 time slots back to back. This is a ONE DAY ONLY special! Feel free to share this with friends and family. Reservations taken on a first come first served basis. Please CALL to reserve, do not send messages on FB as I do not always get them in a timely manner.

Mommy & Me Mini's

It's been a busy couple of days! I offered a portfolio builder special and got 6 wonderful sessions booked yesterday for Mommy & Me sessions! It was a little on the hot side but I brought bottled water and planned a shady spot. I think it worked out pretty well. I edited 2 sneak peeks per session today and finally have them all up on facebook, here are a couple of them... off to bed now, lots more editing to do tomorrow. Like what you see? I love working with families, especially when I have worked with them before. Andrea always has her girls looking so great and today was no different! I love the sweetness in this family, you can see it and that makes my job so easy! Just look at them!!!

Headed out soon to see some wonderful past clients to do some Spring/Easter Mini's! The sun is beautiful today, a bit chilly though. If you're wanting some last minute pictures I have a couple slots open this afternoon still! (It should be warmer then too!)

I keep forgetting...

I use facebook for so much {pretty much everything} that I sometimes {most of the time, lol} forget that I have this blog AND that my actual website tells you to come look at it! Oh yeah, I have a website too but I don't like my options for formatting it so until I find an alternative that doesn't make me lose my domain for 60 days I stick with Facebook and this blog.

So....I've been busy! I've been so busy I have not updated this page. I've been taking pictures of babies, and families. I've been creating sets. I've been learning new techniques, researching equipment and seeking out locations.

Happy 1st Day of Spring!!!

Spring has definitely sprung, just in case you haven't seen that fine layer of yellow on everything or had a stuffy nose for the last 3 weeks today was the official first day of Spring. I have scouted a wonderful location for my spring mini's! Big green field with pretty little yellow and purple flowers, knee high grass, wide open blue skies and yes I have props, in fact I'm putting together a really cute little tea party set up. I'll also have plenty of bubbles, some mini pinwheels and maybe even some chicks or bunnies if there is enough interest!

So mark your calendars, or better yet give me a call (or text) and book your session for either Saturday March 24th or Sunday March 25th. The location is here in North Augusta. These will be 30 minute mini sessions for 2 (up to 5 max with $5.00 additional per person). You will get 15 edited pictures with unlimited print release on a disc. $55.00 for the session!!!

If you haven't already been over to my investments page my prices will be changing at the end of this month. As of March 1st my prices will be going up, this is to reflect my acknowledgement that editing takes a bit longer than I had originally figured on, as well as the additional investments I am making in software, props, and equipment. The prices will go up again in September. So I bet your wondering what I meant by "Great Savings!!!" huh. Think of my current prices sort of like forever stamps, if you purchase the package now you lock in that price. So say for example you know you will be wanting a mini session for Easter, and a Mother daughter session for Mothers day, and then a first day of school mini, right now they are just $45, you pay the sitting fee of $20 to reserve the session and the remainder on the day of the session. So you've got 3 sessions you are automatically saving $20 each on...your 'down payment' to reserve your sessions is $60.00 up front and then $25.00 on the day of the sessions, versus $45.00 on the day of the sessions with my new pricing of $65.00 for a mini...Did that make sense? Basically, using the mini as my example, the price is going from $45.00 to $65.00 but if you pay the reserve sitting fee before the end of the day on February 29th you lock in at $45.00. You can do this for a max of 6 sessions. The mini sessions are not the only ones to be re-priced so take a look at the investments page if you have been thinking of setting up a session with me!

Branding with Facebook

I keep hearing that facebook will soon be requiring EVERYONE to use timeline. I guess it's not that bad, but like everything else (did you see the new picture viewer that went live yesterday?) it takes some getting used to. I got a little ahead and made my 'cover' picture yesterday!I did have to tweak it a little bit because of the 'avatar' picture that get's nested on top to the left of the cover though. The first picture is my original and the second is my tweaked version.

I'm going to offer timeline pictures as an a la carte item for clients I think because I know how much they love to show the world their new pictures!

Branding

Branding is very important when you use social media to advertise....so I spent the last couple hours (yeah I know) creating two new items. Actually I created more than two but these are the ones I was happiest with. What do you think?

Props, props, props! Now I need babies!

I've really fallen in love with infants, maybe it's because I have a bit of ticking time bomb syndrome (I want a baby of my own, keep your fingers crossed we're trying!). Don't get me wrong, I LOVE taking pictures, period, of anyone and anything! But babies,mmm that soft smooth skin, that fresh from heaven scent, sweet smiles in their sleep....oooh yeah I got it bad!

So, let me show you some of the things I have picked up lately! Baskets, bins, boxes, blankets (so many B's), but they are all empty because I have not had any babies to photograph yet. Hopefully after seeing some of these great props you will think to tell all your friends about me and I will be wildly busy and up to my ears in sweet babies (and maybe some of their magic will rub off on me...ya think?)

I've also picked up some really cute items from LaRachelle Designs - she is Fab-U-lous! If you are looking for a gift for a newborn or are a fellow photog check her out. Portfolio Modeling

Portfolio Modeling is when I put out a casting call looking for 1 or more people to pose for me. This can be for testing out new equipment, new locations or creative imagery. This is not something I offer on a regular basis but rather as a tool for helping me to develop into a better photographer. PLEASE do not request to be a Portfolio Model unless I have put out a call for it.

What you get:

• Free session time and edited photos. The Edited photos will be posted to both my facebook fan page, blog and any other working site for the purpose of advertising.
• A limited print release. 
• Private online Gallery to view and share your pictures

What you do not get:

• CD with any of the photos.
• Unlimited copyright release.
• Payment.

*CD with the Edited photos only can be purchased separately and will also include an unlimited print release. Price is dependent on how many edits are included.

Appointments are available on a limited basis starting on January 20th. Three weeks only, weather permitting, on location in Aiken SC or Augusta GA.

For a small investment of $45.00 you will get a 30 minute mini session, 5 professionally edited photos, private online digital gallery & print release form. There is a $20.00 sitting fee due at the time of booking this will be applied to your total fee when completed. I can accept cash or you can pay me through paypal also. Max 2 person shot, children are welcome too!


I'm currently putting the finishing touches on my Kissing booth and it will be ready on January 20th. I have several cute Valentines props as well.
